Parking Rules and Regulations

The New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) has information as to what constitutes a truck or commercial vehicle. Parking a truck or commercial vehicle in NYC comes with a number of rules and regulations. Both the DOT and the Department of Finance (DOF) have very helpful, updated websites detailing everything from parking rates, parking ticket hearings to how to pay for parking fines.

The DOT’s page on parking trucks or commercial vehicles includes information about parking, standing and stopping regulations, circumstances for double parking, as well as additional parking restrictions for the Blue Zone, midtown, and other special zones.

The Department of Finance’s provides information about Commercial Programs including Commercial Overpayment, and Commercial Collections programs. It also has information about parking tickets including checking the status of your tickets, how to pay, how to dispute a ticket, violations codes, fines, rules & regulations, appealing a hearing decision, obtaining copies of tickets, and much more.

If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact our office at 212-509-7700 or email us at Email Me.
